Laptops
Desktop computers are no longer in the limelight. Most people would prefer having a laptop compared to a desktop computer. Reasons are rather obvious as laptops are easy to carry, light in weight, one has the luxury of carrying them even while traveling.
Making a comparison between the two is rather difficult, as the needs and requirements of the people differ vastly when it comes to using a computer. But the question that can be asked is whether it is advantageous to have one rather than the other. One important factor though is the quality of the display. Which one offers a better display; a laptop or a desktop computer?
Is one better than the other?
Well, it depends upon the requirement of a person. It can be discussed in general terms rather. Start with the obvious then, laptops appear more pleasant to the eyes compared to desktop computers, don’t they? Laptops are smaller and thinner and attract more attention compared to large and bulky desktops. Secondly, it is easier to carry laptop which is a huge plus, and if you want to do something urgent you don’t have to wait until you reach your office or home. For instance, choosing the best laptop for artists is better than choosing a desk top for the same purpose.
Desktop
Processors in desktop computers are usually more powerful than the laptops. Gaming laptops could match the desktop processors but then, of course, the price is much higher. This could be problematic for some if not for all. Keyboard issues could arise in smaller desktops as the number pad on the right side is normally unavailable in laptops with 14” or 15” screen size.
Keyboards
This problem does not exist with a desktop computer as they can accommodate full-size keyboards without any problem. Another important advantage of laptops is the ease of access which is extremely important. One can use a laptop sitting on a sofa, lying in bed or even sitting on a chair in the kitchen. This luxury is missing when it comes to desktop computers.
One has to sit at a particular place where the computer is being set up and it can be very inconvenient if one has to work longer hours as it could hurt your back or one pays little extra and buy a special chair to avoid this problem. Upgrading is rather easier for desktops compared to laptops. Most components in a desktop are easily removable compared to laptops where you could only remove the memory and hard drive.
Best is to review your requirement and need for using a computer before making a decision.…
